Davey Tree has acquired the business of Klebasko Environmental Services, LLC, in Maryland. The acquired operations will expand the business of Davey’s Virginia-based subsidiary, Wetland Studies and Solutions, Inc., (WSSI).
“With this addition, we continue to expand our natural resource consulting service operations by growing our presence in the mid-Atlantic region and offering additional services to our clients throughout North America,” said Brent Repenning, vice president and general manager of Davey Resource Group, the division that integrated WSSI into Davey earlier this year.
The addition of Klebasko increases Davey and WSSI’s strength in environmental consulting by bringing more than 30 years of experience in wetland studies, forest conservation, endangered species surveys and other environmental services. The Klebasko team also brings a keen understanding of the Chesapeake Bay Critical Area permitting processes and effects. The addition of professionals Mike Klebasko and Ken Wallis to the WSSI team represents a solid commitment to the expansion into the Maryland market by WSSI and DRG.
Davey has completed six acquisitions in 2014, including Cortese Tree Specialists in Knoxville, Tennessee; Lawn Logic Landscaping, in Davie, Florida; Maier Forest and Tree in Rochester, Minnesota; Superior NW Tree & Shrub Care, in Seattle; and Wetland Studies and Solutions, Inc. in Gainesville, Virginia, in addition to Klebasko.
