Rollins Acquires Critter Control

CriRollins, Inc. parent company of Orkin Pest Control and TruTech, has acquired Critter Control, Inc. Critter Control is a franchisor of nuisance wildlife control businesses. They currently have 114 franchise territories in 40 US states and two Canadian provinces. Orkin acquired TruTech in 2010. At the time of the acquisition, TruTech had approximately 100 employees and a presence in approximately seven states, all managed from the company’s headquarters in Marietta, Georgia. Orkin has not announced its plans, if any, to consolidate TruTech with Critter Control.  Nuisance wildlife control has been a growth area for pest control companies.  Terminix has acquired several nuisance wildlife businesses in the past year as well.

Critter Control was established by Kevin Clark in 1983 and is headquartered in Traverse City, Michigan. It is the largest wildlife control company in the United States and last year was ranked #16 on the 2014 PCT top 100 pest control companies. Its certified wildlife specialists focus on ecologically sound and humane wildlife control solutions for homeowners, property managers, businesses and municipal/governmental agencies. Critter Control will continue to operate independently to preserve its successful brand and loyal customers, and will be managed by Clark.
