Great Range Capital Forms HeartLand and Acquires Signature Landscape in Kansas City

April 1, 2016 – Mission Woods, KS. Great Range Capital announces the formation of HeartLand, a parent company under which the private equity firm will pursue growth in the commercial landscaping industry.

GRC partnered with industry veteran, Ed Schatz to establish HeartLand, a company dedicated to building relationships and delivering exceptional service through leading commercial landscape firms across the Midwest and Mountain-West regions.

HeartLand’s first acquisition is Signature Landscape. Working on projects such as Garmin’s headquarters, the Country Club Plaza and Corporate Woods, this landscaping company has served as Kansas City’s premier commercial grounds maintenance company since 1989. Their account managers, production managers, irrigation techs and horticultural specialists each have an average of 15 years of industry experience.

Signature Landscape continues its path toward growth through the leadership of Bill Gordon who serves as president and remains a significant owner.
