Marizco Merges with Coast Landscape Management in California’s North Bay

Marizco Landscape Management and Coast Landscape Management (CLM) have  merged operations in the North Bay area effective October 1, 2015

CoastLogoKelly Solomon, CEO of Coast LM, Inc., shares her excitement about the joined companies, “I am extremely proud to announce that the very talented Marizco Landscape Management team is now a part of the Coast Landscape Management team. Both companies have similar values and a commitment to excellence.”

CLM is an award-winning commercial landscape maintenance company based in Northern California with five locations throughout the Bay Area, Napa and Sacramento. The merger adds a sixth location in Marin. Both companies have earned a reputation for dependable, quality landscape maintenance. By merging the two companies’ shared values and areas of expertise in the horticultural field, it will organically produce a stronger company. “Our vast background of knowledge and passion for landscaping will not only solve problems quickly, but prevent new ones. We are committed to using our resources to support our clients, our community, our employees and the landscape industry.” says Solomon. As an example of the company’s similar values, both Coast and Marizco were recently awarded “Best Places to Work” by the North Bay Business Journal.

CLM is managed by a partnership between Lebo and Merrill Newman and Rob and Kelly Solomon. Lebo and Merrill are the former owners of Redwood Landscaping, Santa Rosa, CA, sold to LandCare in 1998, and current partners of Signature Landscapes, based in Reno, NV. Rob and Kelly owned the former UpValley Landscape in Napa, CA. The partners have proven success in the landscape industry. Together, they have won over 300 awards for their landscape excellence over the last 30 years.

The owner of Marizco Landscape, Pierre Marizco and the owners of CLM are working together to make the transition as smooth as possible for customers and staff. “We are sharing best practices and will continue to deliver outstanding landscape management services in Sonoma and Marin County. The merger will bring more resources to bear in both of our operations to better serve our clients.” says Solomon. Pierre Marizco will remain for the transition and then later plans to stay in Sonoma County while pursuing a career in real estate.

As a leader in conservation, Marizco’s focus is to maximize resources while reducing costs. CLM will bring expanded horticultural background, knowledge, manpower and resources to Marizco’s already talented team and abilities to do both landscape management and installation functions. With staff trained and certified in advanced water management, and utilizing Bay-Friendly landscaping concepts, both companies offer a green approach to landscape management.
The merger will be able to provide everything from the routine on-going landscape management as well as total new installations, renovations and enhancements. CLM will continue to have a specialized Drought Response Task Force to help manage the ongoing challenges of the continuing drought conditions. The irrigation expertise as a combined company is second to none.

Kelly Solomon concludes her thoughts by going back to the foundation for both companies – customer service. “CLM understands that customer service is just as important as mowing the grass. Therefore we will continue to put our customers first and do what we say we will do. We look forward to a very bright future as we grow together.”
