SavATree Merges with Illinois-based Save A Tree

Bedford, NY. January 31, 2011 — SavATree, a leading provider of tree, shrub and lawn care services, today announced a merger with similarly named — Save A Tree, a family owned and operated company based in Illinois. This comes on the heels of SavATree’s merger with Autumn Tree Care Experts, also based in Illinois. The Save A Tree business will be folded into the Autumn Tree operations.

SavATree has been serving customers throughout the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic regions for over 25 years and now, due to these recent mergers, has expanded their reach to Illinois. They hold the prestigious accreditation from the Tree Care Industry Association (TCIA). The TCIA accreditation program is a stringent and documented company analysis built on the foundation of ethics, quality and consumer confidence, and is designed to protect consumers.

“The decision to entrust my family’s business to SavATree was based on their excellent reputation, high standards and customer-centric focus,” said Judy Markowski, previous owner of Save A Tree. Judy purchased the business in 2001 from her father, Jim Hoder.

As a result of this merger, Save A Tree customers will now have access to a more comprehensive list of programs and services — all of which have been designed to incorporate the latest science in arboriculture and agronomy.

Daniel van Starrenburg, President of SavATree said, “We are thrilled to partner with a company that, like us, understands customer satisfaction is pinnacle. We are very happy to have joined forces and look forward to working with Judy during this transition.”

Our reputation and track record make SavATree an ideal company for others looking to join forces,” said van Starrenburg. “We have successfully integrated a number of businesses and are always diligent to understand what made these companies successful and then leverage those capabilities to make us both better.”
