Yellowstone’s Bio Expands in Houston Market

BIO Landscape & Maintenance, Inc. (BIO), a Yellowstone Landscape Group company, recently announced that it had expanded its Texas presence through the acquisition of Agrilawn. Agrilawn was established by Nathan Young in 1983 in Richmond, Texas. Agrilawn, a best-in-class commercial lawn maintenance and landscaping company focuses on serving premier property management companies in the Greater Houston area.

Robert Taylor, President of BIO, commented, “BIO’s maintenance division has been hard at work winning prestigious accounts in the Greater Houston area. By acquiring Agrilawn, we strengthened our existing team by gaining a roster of skilled operators who have successfully been serving their diversified portfolio of premier customers for almost 30 years. Our teams have integrated nicely and are already working together in our Southwest Houston branch. Nathan and his management team will continue to play a significant role within BIO.”

BIO serves 21 counties with a combined workforce of over 600 professionals throughout Texas. This transaction marks the fourth addition to BIO over the last 15 months. In October of 2009, BIO acquired Outdoor Environments, LLC; a Houston based commercial landscape maintenance company. In December of 2009, BIO acquired Texas Services, Ltd., a sustainable Tree Care focused lawn maintenance and landscaping company in Houston. In May of 2010, the company expanded its geographic footprint by opening a maintenance branch in Beaumont and in July of 2010, acquired Forest Hills Lawn Service, Inc., a lawn maintenance and landscaping company in Dallas. BIO will open a Woodlands Branch in North Houston this month.
