KENT, OHIO — The Davey Tree Expert Company has acquired Green Tree Experts, Inc., of Raleigh, N.C.The acquisition of Green Tree is Davey’s sixteenth in the past five years and is part of a larger growth and expansion strategy. Green Tree’s clients, accounts and employees have been merged into Davey’s existing Raleigh office.
Green Tree was established in 1982, and offered all aspects of residential tree care, including tree preservation, consultation and diagnosis and hazardous tree removal. Owner and founder Derek Green said he chose Davey Tree because the two companies both emphasize high-quality work, completed by hard-working and dedicated employees.
“The difficult decision to step back from the business was made easier knowing that Davey Tree shares our commitment to quality tree care and customer service,” said Green. “We also appreciated the company’s commitment to employee ownership, and the opportunities it provides to our employees.”
