Kent, Ohio — The Davey Tree Expert Company has acquired Tree Health Professionals Inc. of Campbell, Calif., and will integrate its expert services into its residential/commercial operations.
Tree Health Professionals provides tree and shrub care services to residents throughout the South Bay and Mid-Peninsula areas. It will merge its operations with Davey’s Santa Clara territory, which serves clients throughout the Santa Clara Valley and surrounding communities.
Gil Mitchell of Tree Health Professionals said he is excited that his clients will benefit from Davey’s resources, including its workforce, equipment, and the technology and research developed at The Davey Institute.
“While the color of our trucks and our logo may change, our emphasis on high quality tree care and exceptional service delivered by trained arborists remains the same,” he said.
According to Davey operations manager Kevin Peters, Mitchell’s accreditations with the American Society of Consulting Arborists and the International Society of Arboriculture will strengthen Davey’s team of experts.
“This is a great addition to our family,” Peters said. “Through a collaborative effort with THP, we will better serve the greater San Jose area and help sustain the beauty and innumerable benefits the trees here provide.”
This transaction is Davey’s sixteenth in the past five years. It follows Davey’s June 2010 acquisition of Hartney Greymont.
