Fullsteam, a holding company acquiring software and payments businesses, announced today the acquisition of CLIP, a technology company providing business management software for lawn maintenance providers.
Fullsteam, based in Aurburn, Alabama, is a portfolio company of Aquiline Capital Partners, a New York-based private equity firm.
CLIP software provides lawn care businesses with the tools and features they need to operate efficiently, from job scheduling and cost analysis to customer routing, automated billing, detailed reports across all aspects of the business, and mobile apps for working in the field. The software’s Customer Maintenance component is user friendly and provides a single interface to track customer notes, property information and routing needs.
Today, thousands of lawn care professionals across the United States trust CLIP software to manage their businesses. CLIP also provides industry leading support, with a response time of 11 minutes over the past two years.

CLIP’s headquarters is located outside of Nashville in Readyville, TN. The company was founded more than 30 years ago by Dave Tucker, who saw the need for a software platform to help manage his own lawncare business more effectively. As part of the Fullsteam acquisition plan, Tucker will continue to lead the company’s day-to-day operations as CLIP’s President.
