John Deere Landscapes Strikes Again, Acquires AMC in Texas, Oklahoma |

John Deere Landscapes has acquired AMC Industries, an irrigation and water products distributor headquartered in San Antonio, Texas.

AMC, founded in 1924, has nine locations in Texas and Oklahoma, including Austin, Dallas, El Paso, Houston, San Antonio, The Rio Grande Valley and The Woodlands in Texas and Tulsa and Oklahoma City in Oklahoma.

“AMC has been providing high quality irrigation and domestic water systems to contractors for 90 years,” said Doug Black, CEO of JDL. “We welcome our new employees and are glad to have them joining our team.”

John Deere Landscapes has been on an aggressive acquisition program since its acquisition by private equity firm Clayton, Dubilier & Rice in late 2013. Earlier this year, John Deere Landscapes completed the acquisition of Shemin Landscape Supply with 29 locations.
