John O’Conner Grounds Maintenance Acquires Westlea Landscaping

John O’Conner (Grounds Maintenance) Ltd has acquired 100% of the shares of Westlea Landscaping Limited. Founded in 1989, Westlea is a  regional grounds maintenance serving Spouthwest England from its home office in Swindon and a branch in Bristol.
According to a Company announcement, “Like John O’Conner Grounds Maintenamce,  Westlea Landscaping has built its reputation on delivering quality while looking after the people it employs. We believe that culturally and commercially Westlea will find a good home with John O’Conner. The acquisition will help strengthen the companies offering in the Wiltshire and South West region and operationally it will be very much business as usual for both companies.”

John O’Conner Grounds Maintenamnce is a large commercial grounds maintenance, winter services and landscaping company based in Hertefordshire, U.K., nmorth of London.  It provides services throughout England and Scoltland through a system of  six regions.   It was founded in 1969, by John O’Conner, who served in a leadership poisition with the Company for over 50 years, most recently serving as Chirman.  John O’Conner died March 24, 2020, a victim oif COVID-19.  In addition to hus servuice with the Company, John was a former chairm,an of the British Associatiion of Landscape Industries.
