RSK Group Acquires Twig in the U.K.

The leading UK environmental and engineering services company RSK Group Ltd today announced that it has acquired Twig Trading Ltd (Twig), a habitat management company specialising in ground maintenance, ecological contracting and solar farm maintenance.
Twig employs 15 people from its base in Horsmonden, UK, and undertakes projects in the South East of England and further afield. The business also does winter work such as gritting and snow clearance.

Its clients include housebuilders, water companies, solar farm operators, main contractors and private individuals.

Twig was owned by David and Miranda Eyre. Twig will continue to operate under David’s leadership when it joins the agriculture, land and property management division of RSK.

Commenting on the announcement, Dr Alan Ryder, chief executive officer at RSK, said, “Twig’s services complement the recently established RSK habitat management business and our environmental consultancy services.

“Joining forces with Twig, a leading business in this field, enables us to offer a more complete package to our clients.”

“Becoming part of the RSK group will assist with Twig’s growth objectives,” added David Eyre, director at Twig. “The RSK and Twig cultures are closely aligned from what I have experienced to date, which gives me great confidence that the transition will be mutually beneficial to the Twig team and the RSK group.”

The announcements mark the latest in a series of acquisitions by RSK, which is based in Helsby and is the fifth largest environmental consultancy in the UK. RSK has 55 UK and 36 international offices and a turnover of £175 million.

Since the 2017–2018 financial year, RSK has brought 11 new businesses under its umbrella, including Acies, KMGP, Cole Jarman, CJ Associates, Ian Farmer Associates, Up and Under Group, RSKW, Central Alliance, NDT Services, Copeland Wedge Associates and, just last week, Midlands-based geotechnical and structural service provider, CAN.
