BrightView has acquired Birch Incorporated, a St. Paul, Minnesota, landscape services company. The  announcement was made in connection with BrightView’s fiscal second quarter 2021 earnings release. Founded by James Birch in 1978, Birch provides landscape maintenance, irrigation and snow removal services throughout  the seven-county Minneapolis-St. Paul metropolitan area.  At the time of the acquisition, Birch was led by James’ son, Kris Birch. Earlier this year, BrightView announced the acquisition of Cutting Edge Property Maintenance, another company in the Minneapolis-St. Paul metro area.

 SavATree, a national provider of  professional tree, shrub and lawn care, has acquired Branches Tree Experts of Kensington, MD.  Branches Tree Experts is a full-service arboriculture and forestry consulting company operating since 1988. Schill Grounds Management is expanding into the Cincinnati market with the purchase of two full-service landscaping companies that have served southern Ohio for a combined 90 years. Schill  has acquired Ward + Thornton Landscapes, which was founded more than 50 years ago and is based in Maineville, Ohio. Heritage Landscape Supply Group has acquired Davis Supply, a family-owned distributor of irrigation, lighting, pool and spa, and other related outdoor living products. Terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
