Davey Made $60 Million in Acquisitions in 2008

Davey Tree recently filed its Annual Report on Form 10-K with the Securities and Exchange Commission for 2008.  In the filing, Davey reported $60 million in acquisitions during the year, including $16 million in cash, $15 million in stock, $6 million in debt issued and $23 million in liablities assumed.  Davey made two large acquisitions mid-year, The Care of Trees, based in Wheeling, Illinois, and Wolf Tree Experts, based in Knoxville, Tennessee.

Davey Tree Acquires Cleveland Landscape Firm

The Davey Tree Expert Company has acquired Monteleone Landscaping Company of North Royalton, Ohio. Most public companies have recently filed their quarterly report Form 10-Q with rge Securities and Exchange Commission.  Here are some reports from companies active in the Green Industry: The Davey Tree Expert Company reported spending a whopping $17.73 million for business purchases during the first six months of 2008 compared to $4.5 million in the same period of 2007. Wolf Tree joins Davey Tree

KENT, OH — The Davey Tree Expert Company has acquired Wolf Tree Experts, Inc., a tree service company based in Knoxville, Tenn. Wolf Tree is 700 employees strong with a service area covering 13 states. Expected annualized revenues are in excess of $40 million. Their customers include rural electric co-ops, municipalities, and investor-owned utilities. They will operate as a wholly-owned Davey subsidiary. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
